Putting my money where my mouth is. SEC is looking good so far. Here’s to hoping that continues tomorrow.
Backstory: Vandy was flagged at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of last nights game for having “Anchor Down” on their jerseys. NCAA rules say they are allowed the players name, “Vanderbilt” or “Commodores” on them.
The ref initially penalized them 1 time out PER QUARTER. Quickly changed to 1 time out PER HALF.
Vanderbilt sent an assistant to their offices to PRINT OFF AN EMAIL they had received from the compliance office saying that they were APPROVED to wear the uniforms.
The refs removed the penalty and the game went on.
Its confirmed that Vandy is back to being the old Vandy. They won a LEGAL battle while simultaneously losing a FOOTBALL game.
I will fix the layout of the page soon to add you in. Its been a few years since I’ve touched the it. Trying to get back in the swing of posting content first.
…To being the old Vandy.
Ouch. This one hurts.
At least I have a game to watch since I just showed up to the bar at 1100PM PST.
1 time out PER QUARTER
They are allowed to have a players name, “Vanderbilt”, or “Commodores”… NOTHING else.
This picture sums up the second half of this game… along with 4 huge offensive plays that busted it wide open.
You and me both brother
